Valuable experience gained at the Lauberhorn...

Last week, I was able to race the challenging Lauberhorn downhill course in its entirety for the first time...at least during the two training sessions. The race itself was shortened, starting from the Hundschopf. Even though, objectively speaking, the result was not satisfactory, I can look back on an extremely instructive week where I had to adapt my setup to the daily changing slope conditions. In addition, it was not so easy to muster 100% confidence to push hard through the turns in the important key sections.
A little disappointed but fully motivated, I am now traveling to Kitzbühel, well rested, where the next classic downhill race awaits me. Thank you to my coaches and staff at Swiss-Ski, my loyal service technician for the top-quality equipment, and the many fans who cheered me on so enthusiastically at Girmschbüel and at the finish line...
See you on the Streif... with sporting regards,
Livio
