The Saslong 2025 conquered with the first World Cup points of the season...

There were no gifts to be had at the South Tyrolean classic in Val Gardena this year either. In mixed conditions, there was only one training run before the rescheduled Beaver Creek downhill got underway on December 18, 2025. I had a good race on the shortened course, but the hundredths of a second weren't on my side at the end, as the gaps in the middle of the pack were extremely small – 0.27 seconds between P11 and P28.
After a day's break, the second race over the entire Saslong followed. In the upper section, I was among the fast guys until the moment of shock at the second wall, where I narrowly avoided a crash. Unfortunately, I lacked speed after that, which meant a considerable loss of time. I also didn't quite manage the Ciaslat as I would have liked, so unfortunately I “had” to go home on Saturday without any more points.
Now I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
“See you in Wengen”... with sporting regards,
Livio
