The 2025/2026 racing season has come to an end – My summary...

My final races of the season took place in mid-March and early April at the European Cup Finals in Saalbach, Austria, and the Swiss Championships in St. Moritz.

With a 10th-place finish in the downhill and a 16th-place finish in the super-G, I ended the European Cup in these disciplines in 14th and 15th place, which is okay considering the amount of races I competed in.

At the Swiss Championships, I missed the podium by just 3 hundredths of a second, finishing fourth, which annoys me a bit because I lost more time in the upper section than I would have liked. Still, I’m satisfied with the result. It was almost similar in the Super-G. Due to the high number of dropouts among the women on the same course, I probably tried too hard to stay properly on the racing-line on the soft snow, which explains the significant time loss in the first two sectors. For that reason, I’m fine with 11th place.

This Swiss Championship also pretty much reflects my entire season, which was marked by various ups and downs. In the World Cup, I achieved my best career result to date with a 13th-place finish, but on the other hand, I too often failed to put all the sections of the course together perfectly, so I ended up leaving valuable World Cup points behind. What I will definitely take with me, however, are the valuable experiences from the World Cup classics for the future…

Now I’m signing off for the summer… but stay tuned online… there will surely be a thing or two to report. Thanks also to all my sponsors, supporters, and fan club, as well as my service technician and the staff at Swiss-Ski.

With sporting regards

Livio
