I look back on the past week with satisfaction because, in addition to good results in the European Cup races in Verbier, I achieved my personal best result in the World Cup so far in the downhill race in Crans Montana...

Immediately after the last EC downhill race in Verbier, I traveled on to Crans Montana on Friday morning because we had a suitable time slot to compete in the first World Cup training session, which was ultimately canceled at 2:00 p.m. Nevertheless, I was happy to be back in World Cup mode in terms of travel. After a solid final training session on Saturday, we were all set for the sixth World Cup downhill race of the winter.

I started the race with bib number 33 and was in a good position right from the start. The two small mistakes in the final phase may have cost me a few tenths of a second, but they didn't throw me off my game. I finished 13th, my best World Cup result ever, in front of a magnificent crowd at the finish line, surrounded by our fan clubs from the Simmental... All that's left for me to say is thank you... along with congratulations to Franjo on his victory and Lars on his sixth place...

I'll take a short break to recover before continuing on to the European Cup in Sarajevo.

With sporting regards

Livio
